Mum's Voice

Haven't written in a while.......and I'm writing this now because this just happen just a few minutes ago.......at exactly 7.48 a.m.

I'm guessing some of you have heard of the stories of people hearing voices and sometimes heard their name being called right? But when you look around, there was nobody there (not counting the pranks, okay?)

Let's start.

Just before 7.48, my mum told me to remember my house work before she left with my dad to his badminton tournament. So, I couldn't have been dreaming cause I was still awake but was lazy to get up of bed and was closing my eyes from the bright sun shining through my window.

That is when it happen, "EVET" (my nickname) was called in my mother's voice so close to my ear like she was right next to me trying to wake me up when I just won't wake up. And I really did woke up! (afraid she'll get mad that I haven't started on my work yet.

But once I got up, I went around the house and found out that she had already left the house. So............the vice that woke me up just was..........who........???

I'm telling you.....it was absolutely CLEAR.......the right voice, the right emphasizing tone she usually use to wake me up & it really was like she was speaking it right into my ear. I sat up stun & panicky when I heard it. Crept out a little but I don't think I'll tell my sister about it. She'll be too scared and might want to sleep on the same bed as me. (do not want that)

This reminds me of a few experience I had a long time ago. And it always has been my mum's voice that I hear calling me.

One time it was when we were still staying at our old house at Kepayan Ridge. Our house was located just on the foot of a small hill and on top of the hill was a small cemetery. Very small. Only like 5? Don't quite remember it now.

Well, this happen when I was washing the dishes in the kitchen (our kitchen is an outdoor kitchen) when I heard my mum called me like 3 times.....so.....I went to the living room and asked her why did she called me. She told me that she didn't. So, I said to not lie or play around with me (it was night time, Duh.) but No, she insisted that she did not called me. I was a little stun and scared but the dishes is still half way done so I had to finish it up despite what has happen.

In my country, the elderly always says to never answer to your name being called at night from behind you if you see no one is there. This is because, according to olden belief, whenever we are walking at night (especially alone) we have like this 2 protection fire on our shoulders and 1 on top of our head that protects us from evil spirits that tries to harm us. However, if you turn around, it will be extinguished. And this will give the spirits an opportunity to hurt you. So it is wise to not answer to a call if it is coming from behind you. (usually if it were a person & you ignore them, I'm pretty sure they will called you a few times and at a louder voice right??) Anyway, my God bless you and protects you all from anything that tries to hurt you. Amen.

Impersonator

Hello again. Just telling my experience will not do cause sharing is caring. Hehe... So, I'll tell you some of my friends' story. This time the title of the story is impersonator. Meaning, the entity disguises itself into something or someone. Ooohhh......that just sends chills down my spine. Let's start.

This first story is told to me recently by my friend J about her experience back in her high school days. In our country, some schools do provide accommodations for their students. During J's high school days, she stayed at her school's hostel. (I'm not gonna mention what school cause of P&C, private and confidential, to respect my friend) However, like any other hostel, each one has their own story to it. And her school and hostel is situated on once was a burial ground.

One night, J ran out of her room after a terrifying experience in it. (I'm gonna tell you that in another story, Patience.....hehe) So, she stood outside of her room for quite a while to calm her nerve for what had happen. During that time, a sudden fire drill was organize so at the sound of the alarm, everyone (girls dormitory) ran out of their rooms and went to the arranged Safe Zone. While trying to run out too, J happen to saw a friend of hers (let's call her M), M, who is supposedly went back to her hometown but has yet to return standing so clearly not far from her. Confused, J asked her when did she return but M did not replied her. And so, J just went with the other students down to the Safe Zone.

The next day, when J was on her way to class, she happen to bump into M who is just returning from her hometown with all her bags in hand. This had J confuse again as she had seen her last night. So, she went and asked M was she here last night and of course M says that she has just arrived there. This is prove enough to J that what she had saw was not M at all but something that has disguise itself as M. (damn...my hair on my hands are standing up.....creepy)

The second story is also told by a friend of mine, C. This story happens in my hostel and was told to me when we were in the first semester of our first year. It goes like this.

Our hostel's room is divided into two types, double occupancy double bed and double single occupancy. A girl from the double occupancy double bed room was going to take her shower. Before that, her roommate had told her that she was going back for the weekend. However, upon reaching the washroom, the girl realize that she had forgotten to bring along her soap so she went back to their room to get it.

When she opened the door to her room, there she saw her roommate who was suppose to have return sitting on her chair and looking at her. Puzzled, she asked her roommate why had she came back and thought that she had gone when she went to the washroom. But her roommate said that her ride was a little late so she went back to their room to wait and so, the girl went on and talked to her roommate for a while longer before she remember her reason on going back to the room.

She got her soap but accidentally dropped it on the floor, so she bend down to grab and saw something that had made her faint. Or should I say she did not saw something....The moment she reached down, she caught a glance between her legs the roommate she was talking to had no legs...I mean no feet.

That is when her roommate ask her, "Kau tau sudah siapa saya?", meaning, You Know Who I Am Now?, (Ahhhhh......this is so creeping me out) and she fainted.

The End. Hehe....oh....in my country also, they say if you wanted to see ghost, stand with your legs apart and look through it to see one to to identify if that person if human or not. I will not be doing it though. Scary.

The Head

Hi again. Today I wanna share one story from when I stayed at my village Kampung Marabahai Tuaran for my end of year school holiday a few years back. Have you ever did something without knowing why you did it in the first place?? It's like you were blank at the time and your body just move on it own to do something. Here is what happened to me at that time.

Few years back, my family would let us, the children to go back to our grandparents home to enjoy the holiday, especially me since I am usually the one that will be helping out with the cleaning of the house before Christmas for our family gathering.

One night during my stay there (Just me then, no siblings went back with me.), I slept in my aunt's room which at that time we shared it with our grandparents since the other rooms are occupied with my relatives. So the 4 of us were in the room together. There were 2 single beds on each side of the room and 2 single mattresses on the floor in the middle of the 2 beds for my aunt and I to sleep while my grandparents sleep on the 2 single beds.

Like I said earlier on, I tend to wake up at the slightest sound. But that night, I did woke up but again, it was not because of a sound. I just woke. I woke, pulled my cover aside and walked up to the window overlooking our living room (I know its unusual to have a window of your room overlooking the inside of the house but that how my granddad design the house.) and looked out to the living room sofa.

I bet anyone that might have seen what I have seen that night may have just scream out loud or even fainted. However, that did not happen to me.

On the sofa facing the window, there was a head.....Just a head. I know I was sleepy at that time but the sight of the head was to real to be forgotten. Here's a description of the head :

1. A melted like frown (like a very very sad clown's frown)
2. Messy hair that looked like it was wet (cause it was shiny from the light from our dining area)
3. Bulging round eyes but you can't see its pupil
4. Under it was like a pile of organs cause one of it looked like an intestine
5. Swollen and wrinkled face
6. Can't really see its teeth even though it had its mouth open

I looked at it for like a minute before I calmly close the curtain of the window and went back to sleep. The next day, I was shocked that I was not the least afraid of the event that happened to me that night. WE WERE STARING AT EACH OTHER!!! (me and the head) How can anyone still be able to sleep after seeing something like that in their living room? Let alone looking back at them...? After recovering from the confusion of why I did what I did last night (waking up for no apparent reason and went straight to the window and looked at the thing), I went to my grandma and told her about it and even shown her exactly the location on the sofa where I saw the head. (She's a very religious person, one of the teacher in our Church for those who wish to enter Roman Catholic). And all she said was it might just be a dream.

But to me, I know it was not. I know what I saw. Then, coming back to school, I've told a few of my friends about it. They say that is what is called a Balan-Balan, which is a flying head with all its internal organ. They say it originated from those females that has been chosen by one of those things to be one (usually the beautiful ones) or their family members are a generation of those things or if they or their family members have a Saka. A Saka is a spirit that is given the job of protecting the family or person but there is the consequences like becoming the Balan-Balan or you have to feed it blood either of a sacrificed animal or your own family members blood. They say, some of those females didn't even know that they are one. Sad.

Not only that, those heads are said to lick or suck to blood of recently given birth mothers and those females who had their period (menstrual) and did not cleaned their pads. In the olden day, after the birth of a child or the females in the family are in their time of the month, they would hang a necklace of nail or thorn around the house or the entrance of the house and the room of the female to protect them from these bloodsuckers (kinda like a vampire I guess). One other thing is to put salt around your house or squeezes of lime or anything acidic cause it is said if the organs of it touches these, it will hurt itself (like if you were to squeeze a lime over your wound, OUCH!!).

A more brutal way is to kill it. How?? If you happen to know who the person is (the head is), go to the person's residential and if you did find them without the head, quickly turn their body upside down. I mean the chest facing the bed and the bum facing the ceiling. These will prevent the head from connecting itself to the body and died at the first light of morning. Oh.....I forgot to tell you. The head must return to its original body before sunrise or it will die. (there is one story where they say the organs were tangled on a barbwire of a house gate and the head died there because it was unable to return to its body) So, yeah, that's another way to kill it too I guess.

How to tell i the person is one of them? Well. From what I have read and heard. You will see a faint line around the neck of the person. And I mean around the neck, 360 degrees. And it will be in a faint black, purple or dark blue in color.

My tuition teacher experienced this first hand. It was very early in the morning when she was getting ready to open up the tuition center when suddenly she heard someone crying out for help from the back of the center (behind was a small forest). So she went back and tried to locate the voice's location. To her surprise, she saw a head crying out to her. Its organs were tangled in the branches of a tree and could get lose and morning is approaching. It begged her to set her lose while crying. My teacher felt sorry for her so she got herself a pole and help untangled to organs. Once untangled, the head thanked her and went off her way. Then, the next day, a woman came to the tuition center and gave my teacher a gift. She said it was for helping her but my teacher didn't recognized her so she was puzzled upon receiving the gift. That is when the woman smiled and loosen her scarf around her neck and there it was. A faint dark blue line around her neck. As soon as my teacher saw that, she knew it immediately. She was the head she helped.

I guess not all are bad. Maybe they didn't want it but like I said earlier, some are a generation of it so it can't be helped. Oh....again. I forgot. They say when it is near you, you will hear a faint sound of a hen chuckling and vice verse if it was far from you. And in my country, you can't say the name Balan-Balan out loud a few times or it will come to you, so as a precaution, we called it Bx2 (B kuasa dua) or in english B times 2. Hahaa......that's funny to say. So, that all y'all. Hehe....

**Is there anything like this in your country?? I know Thailand has one kinda like this but I don't remember the name. =) Do share if you do. Hope you enjoyed the story.

First Time Pinned

Okay. I started this blog to record all of my ghostly encounter since I have so much of it but I have never really care to write it down to remember it even though I enjoy exchanging real encounter experience with my friends. So, let's start. This is my recent experience of getting pinned by something. Titled, First Time Pinned.

I am currently in the second last semester in my university and am residing in their hostel. Our female hostel is divided into two. The Mabul and Mantanani which is from the names of island around my state, Sabah of Malaysia or commonly known as The Land Below The Wind. I am in the Mabul block B4, top floor (5th floor) room no.16.

I've entered my room of the second week of my second last semester after moving out of my rental apartment from the previous semester of which I did not get a place in the hostel. At first it was nothing unusual but I sprinkled some Holy Water in the room and the hallway while whispering Saya tidak kacau kau, kau tidak kacau saya which mean "I don't disturb you and you don't disturb me" and some prayers to our Father since I am a Roman Catholic.

All when well until one night a couple of weeks before our study week. First of all, I would like to inform you that I can easily be awaken by the slightest sound unless I am very very tired and I don't get mad at people for more than 24 hours unless they really did me some wrongs. But, during that week, it was not that hectic and everything went well. No fights, No misunderstanding, No nothing. Pretty much you can say that I have no issue to bother with or get angry with at that time. Remember, I have no Hard feelings at all during the whole week.

That night, I was awaken somewhere around 2 am to 3 am in the morning. However, I was not awaken because of a sound. Once I had open my eyes, I suddenly felt a strong feeling of wanting to hit someone, anyone. I felt so angry and frustrated but in my mind, I was thinking of the reason of why I was that angry. Throughout the whole time laying on my bed, I was angry and wanted so much to hit someone. When I tried to move, I was unable. At that point, I thought I might just be experiencing what people call as Sleep Paralysis. For those who do not know what Sleep Paralysis means, it is when your mind is awake but your is still asleep so people tend to think that they have been paralyze due to their inability to move their body.

On to my story, I tried as hard as I can to move but I was unable. Then I remembered some stories from my friends. They say just in case you are experiencing something like what I am experiencing at that time, it may just be because something is pinning you down. And I mean a Ghost. They say, if you can move your body, try moving your pinky finger. So, I did.

But, it was not effective. That is when I felt it. I felt my wrists were actually being held down by someone's hand. And that someone is right on top of my head. So I tried to tilted my head back to look at 'em but I can't seem to tilt it back enough to get a better view. All I was able to see was a dark shadow. (ooh.....forget to mention this, my room even if you have closed the curtains, you can still see things in the room clearly because of the lights from outside.) I have always been able to sense the presence of Ghost but never o be able where or how they are position. But at that time, I felt it so strongly. I can feel that the thing was in a squatting position on top of my head and its hands were pinning me down by the wrist. Not only that, I can feel it was channeling its anger to me. I tried to move my body to get up as much as I can and even tried calling to my other roommates. Even so, despite my voice being loud (from what I hear anyway but I'm pretty sure it was quite loud), they can't seem to be able to hear me. Again I tried over and over.

Since nothing has worked, I tried my prayers. I kept saying it over and over and as loud as I can. I also kept saying Jangan kacau saya which mean Don't disturb me. And then finally, I was able to move and I quickly sit up on my bed and looked behind me to where I have felt and seen the dark shadow. I scanned the entire room while breathing heavily from the fight. But there were nothing there. Being still in shock for getting pinned down by a Ghost for the very first time (I've heard so much stories from my friends about them getting pinned), I reached for my Rosary and wore it and prayed till I fell asleep again.

Even so, the whole time I was praying to fall asleep, I felt it again. I can't see it but I felt it. I can feel that it was still there watching me intensely. Do you know the feeling of being stared at? Well, imagine being stared at so close to you and feeling the chills like something is trying to harm you and influence you.

Okay........so that's the end of my first blog of My Ghost Stories. Remember, when all else fails, God is the best way to solve it. Amen.
